A: Your earnings capability will depend on a number of factors. Naturally, as in any business venture there is no guarantee of your success or profitability. We do, however, give you the benefit of a well-organized system and a concept refined by our many years of experience. A: You may be awarded a protected territory under the terms of your franchise agreement.
A: There are certain brand names and product requirements for your stores' inventory that may be purchased from GNC or other manufacturers and distributors. However, GNC brand supplements which are part of your required inventory can only be purchased from GNC. Whenever possible, we use the combined purchasing strength of our global chain to affect purchasing economies that will benefit your stores and the entire operation.
A: Absolutely! We have a great training program for new Franchise operators! There are 3 phases of training:
Phase I: After a store has been awarded you will spend one week training at a designated GNC Store Location
Phase II: One week of classroom training at GNC Headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA
Phase III: GNC field representative will work with you during the first week your store is open
A: We provide ongoing support in the form of the GNC Franchise Operations Manual to help you with day-to-day operations; field support from a dedicated franchise field representative; ongoing purchasing services; inventory management; financial services; technical assistance; as well as guidance and resources for your promotional, operational and other business needs. Plus, you can access a variety of on-line resources through our franchise intranet-support system.
A: Yes. Like any other business, you can sell your stores to a buyer approved by the company. There is a transfer fee for administrative, legal and training expenses that affect the transfer, and the company has the right to match any offer you receive. GNC must approve all sales.
A: Our current policy is that the franchise may be renewed, at GNC's discretion, in five-year increments (no limit), provided that the GNC store is in good standing.
A: Our franchise agreement is a valued document which we do not indiscriminately distribute. However, once you have a personal meeting with a member of our franchising team, we will be happy to provide you with a copy of our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) that includes an example of our franchise agreement. You will also be assigned a dedicated Director of Franchise Operations (DFO) to help with business analysis and market development, product selection and inventory management, retail sales and operational field support. In addition, GNC also provides guidance and resources for your ongoing marketing, training and other business needs.
